چکیده

Regression diagnostics are geared toward identifying individual points or groups of points that have an important influence on a fitted model. When fitting a model with survey data, the sources of influence are the response variable Y, the predictor variables X, and the survey weights, W. This article discusses the use of the hat matrix and leverages to identify points that may be influential in fitting linear models due to large weights or values of predictors. We also contrast findings that an analyst will obtain if ordinary least squares is used rather than survey weighted least squares to determine which points are influential. 1. Survey Paper on Image Denoising Using Spatial Statistic son Pixel

The classical non-local means image denoising approach, the value of a pixel is determined based on the weighted average of other pixels, where the weights are determined based on a fixed isotropic ally weighted similarity function between the local neighbourhoods. It is demonstrate that noticeably improved perceptual quality can be achieved through the use of adaptive anisotropic ally weighted...

Jacobian Conditioning Analysis for Model Validation

Our aim is to stress the importance of Jacobian matrix conditioning for model validation. We also comment on Monari and Dreyfus (2002), where, following Rivals and Personnaz (2000), it is proposed to discard neural candidates that are likely to overfit and/or for which quantities of interest such as confidence intervals cannot be computed accurately. In Rivals and Personnaz (2000), we argued th...

Wavelets in Littlewood–paley Space, and Mexican Hat Completeness

We resolve a long-standing question on completeness of the nonorthogonal Mexican hat wavelet system, in L for 1 < p < 2 and in the Hardy space H for 2/3 < p ≤ 1. Tools include the discrete Calderón condition, a generalization of the Daubechies frame criterion to a weighted L space, and imbeddings of that weighted space into L and Hardy spaces.
